Join us in this pilgrimage starting at the Mount of Olives, visiting the Chapel of the Ascension, where Jesus is said to have ascended to heaven after his resurrection. We proceed to Pater Noster Church, where Jesus taught his disciples the Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 26:36-44).
Then stop to enjoy a panoramic view of the Old City of Jerusalem. Then continue going down the mountain to reach Dominus Flevit church, here Christian commemorates the spot where Jesus wept for Jerusalem (Luke 19:41). Then follow the path of Palm Sunday, descending to the historic Garden of Gethsemane, whose ancient olive trees connect us to Jesus’ time.
There we visit the Church of All Nations, constructed over the “Rock of Agony,” where Jesus prayed alone on the night of his arrest (Luke 22:39-53). Here we can take a moment of silence to reflect on Christ’s agony during this period and engage in personal prayer.
We continue to Saint Ann’s Church, where the healing Pools of Bethesda are located, known for the miraculous healing of a crippled man by Jesus (John 5:1-9). Then we start walking the Via Dolorosa, tracing the 14 Stations of the Cross through the vibrant markets of the Old City.
We conclude at the sacred Church of the Holy Sepulcher, believed to hold both Calvary, where Jesus was crucified, and His tomb (Luke 23:26-33, 23:50-55).
What special about this tour that it offers a profound connection to Jesus’ life, teachings, and crucifixion, allowing for reflection and contemplation at every significant site along the way.
