Marhaba all !! I am Laila, the owner of “Laila Tours and Travel” and this is my story. I was fortunate to be born in my beloved city Bethlehem. Since childhood, I was raised to love my land, the holy land.I grew up seeing tourists from all over the world coming to my parish Church the Nativity for a one-time visit, just then, I understood the deep meaning of being from the Holy Land and that it is a great blessing for me and my family.
Through the years, I deeply desired to accomplish something in my society and be independent as a Christian Palestinian Arab woman with a significant role. Despite all the challenges I faced in a community where traditional gender roles often play an essential part, I had a strong vision for my future that kept me going forward and got the strength to go beyond all these obstacles.
In my heart and my mind, I had an inspiring idea to create a memorable and growing tourism business that will leave a lifelong impression on people and create a job that I love. For that, I pursued a higher education at Bethlehem University to support my vision where education and skill development were vital to my success.
My passion and love for my country were my primary motivations to achieve the idea and transform it into a living reality. I knew that bringing this vision to fruition requires a lot of dedication and sufficient resources. but I was ready for the challenge.
In 2006, I founded “Laila Travel and Tours”, and I thought I had established a work or business for myself, but the exciting thing is that it all became my new life story. It is not just work for me even if I am exhausted, I walk up every day with big enthusiasm and love to work with my lovely team.
We love serving our customers worldwide, and the care and love to craft special tours and itineraries are not just a job. It’s a life service and experience that we offer.
This hospitality, service, and dedication kept growing with Laila Tours. It transformed my life and paid to reshape the narrative for Palestinian women in business in my society and uncover the secrets of the Holy Land and the current realities in the eyes of the world.
Finally, I passed on this love and dedication and shared it with my only daughter Maria who is part of the Laila Tours team, hoping she will continue my message and follow my footsteps to live with love, dedication, and service for others.
