An incredible journey to Mount Carmel, where history was made, and faith was strengthened. We start our day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel before heading to the site of Elijah’s epic victory over the prophets of Baal. We visit Stella Maris Church, where Elijah once lived, and experience the beauty of the Eucharist. Afterwards, take in the stunning panoramic views of Haifa Bay and the Baha’i Gardens before going to Akko. Here, we will discover the rich history of the Old City, Crusader Fortress, and Bazaar. In this very place, the Siege of Acre occurred in 1291, marking the end of further crusades to the Levant. Have some free time to wander and explore before we return to our hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and a restful overnight stay.
We will begin our day with a nourishing breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a journey to Jericho, the oldest city in the world, where Joshua achieved victory. Here, many experienced the miraculous power of the Lord Jesus, including Bartimaeus, who regained his sight, and Zacchaeus, the wealthy man who found salvation. Our visit to The Franciscan Church of the Good Shepherd for the Celebration of the Eucharist (Mass) will honor Jesus for being the Good Shepherd to these individuals. This church is renowned for its breathtaking beauty and is a must-see destination in Jericho. As we go to the baptismal site of Jesus (Qasr El Yahud) on the river Jordan, we will pass by the Beit She’an archaeological site. After an optional lunch, we will continue our journey to visit the Sycamore Tree, where Zacchaeus climbed, to catch a glimpse of Jesus. Finally, our day will culminate in a visit to the Mount of Temptations, where Jesus was tempted by the devil (Matthew 4:8). We will return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay, reflecting on the inspiring experiences of the day.
After checking out of the hotel, we will visit the Church of the Nativity, which marks the birthplace of Jesus Christ. We will proceed to the Grotto of the Nativity, where a silver star beneath the altar marks the spot of His birth. Then, we’ll explore Saint Catherine’s Church and Saint Jerome’s Cave. After lunch, we’ll visit the Church of Milk Grotto and Shepherd Fields, where we will celebrate Mass and see the soot marks of fires that shepherds lit to keep warm. Finally, we will return to our hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
We will visit Bethany, where Jesus performed the miraculous resurrection of Lazarus. Later, we will visit St. Lazarus Roman Catholic Church and participate in the Eucharist Celebration (Mass) on the original mosaic floor. Our journey will continue to the Dead Sea, where we will have the opportunity to float, and then visit Qumran, where the 2,000-year-old ruins from the days of the Second Temple remain and where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Finally, we will return to Jerusalem for dinner and rest at the hotel.
We will begin our day with breakfast at the hotel and then head to the Chapel of the Ascension on the Mount of Olives, where Jesus ascended into heaven forty days after his resurrection. From there, visit the Pater Noster Church, where Jesus taught His disciples the Lord’s Prayer. Our next stop will be at Dominus Flevit, a church commemorating where Jesus wept for Jerusalem, where we’ll celebrate Eucharist (Mass). Our journey will then take us down to the Garden of Gethsemane, where we’ll visit the Church of All Nations, the site of the “Rock of Agony,” where Jesus prayed alone on the night of His arrest. We’ll take some time to reflect on Christ’s agony that He experienced. After an optional lunch, we’ll tour Saint Ann’s Church and the Pools of Bethesda, where Jesus healed the disabled man. Finally, we’ll walk the Via Dolorosa and reflect upon the Stations of the Cross as we travel through the markets of the old city to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the Calvary, and Jesus’ tomb site. Our day will conclude with dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel in Jerusalem. May this day be filled with peace, reflection, and inspiration as we follow the footsteps of Jesus.
Join us on a journey through history as we explore the sacred sites of Mount Zion. We will start our day at the Church of the Dormition, where Mary, Mother of Jesus, peacefully passed away. Our next destination will take us to the “Upper Room,” the Cenacle, where Jesus and His disciples shared their Last Supper. As we continue our pilgrimage, we will visit Saint Peter Gallicantu, where Jesus was once imprisoned before facing the Council in Jerusalem. Here, we will reflect on Peter’s Denial of Christ and the lessons we can learn from it. After a lovely lunch, we will pay our respects at Yad Vashem, the Holocaust memorial, and visit the Knesset and Menorah. Our day will conclude with a delicious dinner and a peaceful overnight stay in Jerusalem.
